Small School Districts’ Association (SSDA) and California Charter Authorizing Professionals (CCAP) Partnership to Advance Quality Authorizing in Public Education

The vast majority of California’s 337 charter school authorizers are small and rural school districts that oversee a handful of charter schools. Because of their size and location, these authorizers face unique challenges.

Through this partnership, CCAP will develop a collaborative network of professionals to provide these districts with authorizing resources, professional development, and technical support tailored to their individual needs. SSDA members will also receive a free introductory membership to CCAP for the 2020-2021 school year that provides:

  • Priority access to all CCAP training
  • Consultation time to answer specific questions related to charter petition review, oversight, and renewal.
  • Subscription to CCAP’s monthly newsletter with legal updates
  • Exclusive SSDA-only virtual office hours for technical support
