The Alliance is dedicated to improving the quality of the charter school sector by addressing the current gap in best practice resources, training, and professional development for district and small/rural authorizers. In September 2019, the three states provided an update on the first year deliverables and engaged in small and large group discussions. The convening concluded with the development of an action plan for the work to be completed during the second year of the grant. Additionally, it provided an opportunity for all three states to gauge the impact the Alliance Project has had on the improvement of charter authorizing practices.
