In late 2021, CCAP along with the Colorado Association of Charter School Authorizers (CACSA) and the Florida Association of Charter School Authorizers (FACSA), launched the National Network for District Authorizing (NN4DA), to support state-level initiatives working to strengthen the charter school authorizing practices of their local school districts.

NN4DA provides a forum for sharing best practices in authorizing that can be tailored to each state’s charter school regulations to develop model materials and trainings for school districts and other local authorizers.

NN4DA also offers free webinars on a variety of pivotal issues for authorizers, including updates on proposed federal regulations and their potential impact on authorizing, authorizer oversight responsibilities, and improving access for students with disabilities and English learners.

Information and registration for upcoming webinars and links to previous webinars are available on NN4DA’s website—nn4da.org. It’s also the place to check out NN4DA’s resources and training opportunities, news updates, blog and other upcoming events.

Consider joining NN4DA in this important work. Membership is open to state-based authorizer associations and initiatives. Together, we can  expand and strengthen the network of authorizers around the country. Membership information is available on the website here.

Join Us!

NN4DA is excited to partner with additional state-based associations or initiatives that share our goals of strengthening charter authorizing by school districts. We are looking to connect with leaders in additional states where school districts are involved in charter school authorizing to explore ways other states can join our Network. We also invite all advocates of strong public education to join us in this important work and to support our initiatives to improve district authorizing practices.

Mission

The mission of NN4DA is to support state-level initiatives that assist school districts and similar entities in implementing authorizing practices that lead to quality and equitable outcomes for all students.

Vision

Excellence in district led authorizing that contributes to strong public school systems.

Value Statement

NN4DA is committed to developing a student-centered network that is impactful and empowering by being collaborative, strategic, equitable and inclusive.
