Ginese Quann is the Executive Director for the El Dorado County Charter SELPA.  The Charter SELPA provides oversight and support to over 440 charter schools across the state in ensuring access to quality special education programs for students with disabilities.

Ms. Quann began her career in 1996 as an English teacher before transitioning into an administrative role within a network of charter schools in San Diego.  Prior to joining the SELPA, Ms. Quann served for 16 years as a charter school administrator with experience in all aspects of administrative leadership that include instruction, operations, and governance.

Ms. Quann has extensive experience in not only operating charter schools but also the oversight responsibilities that authorizers hold.  She has participated in state-wide initiatives pertaining to authorization and oversight and has a deep understanding of the intricacies that face many charter operators and authorizers.

Ms. Quann serves on several organizational councils representing charter schools that include ACSA Student Services and the State SELPA Association.

In her role as a CCAP Board Member, Ms. Quann’s goal is to enable charter school authorizers and the charters they oversee to have a meaningful and mutual partnership that enhances the community that they serve.
