Thanks to those who were able to join the statewide introductory kickoff meeting on Monday, February 28, for the new Charter Authorizer Support Initiative (CASI). The initiative, funded by the California Department of Education, is a collaboration between CCAP and the Santa Clara County Office of Education (SSCOE), with strategic partners among seven other county offices of education, the Small School Districts’ Association (SSDA), and California’s Fiscal Crisis and Management Assistance Team (FCMAT). School district and county office of education staff members with authorizing duties are invited to the first of the monthly online CASI Charter Chats:
Wednesday, March 30, 2022, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.
Charter Chats will feature timely updates for authorizers, follow-ups between quarterly regional CASI “hybrid” meetings for authorizers, and breakout rooms for regional discussions. Information on CASI, and registration for the first Charter Chat, can be found on the CASI website. That’s also where you can sign up for the CASI listserv.
