As we all look back on the wild ride that was 2021, we should give one another a collective pat on the back for navigating such uncertain times with flexibility, grace, and innovation.
It looks like it still may be a while before schools—and life in general—resume some constancy. In the meantime, CCAP remains committed to developing and updating resources and supports that provide all California authorizers with the information and tools necessary to ensure that charter schools receive the best possible oversight. CCAP’s authorizer members and our other collaborators can look back with satisfaction on progress made in 2021, even as we look forward hopefully to making up for some time lost to the pandemic, wildfires, and other major challenges.
We are committed to expanding our work in the coming year with more professional development, both in person and online, additional toolkits and other resources, more collaborative efforts and opportunities, and more key collaborators. Stay tuned for some big upcoming news on that.
We look forward to continuing to work together with authorizers and other stakeholders in this new year to advance charter school equity and access through quality authorizing.
